Heard County Sheriff's Office
Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is the most visible division of the Sheriff's Office. Our Deputies are responsible for 24-hour protection and services to the citizens of and visitors of Heard County. Deputies in the Patrol Division answer call ranging from domestic violence, thefts, criminal trespass and other call involving citizens. Deputies also patrol roads throughout the county and issue citations for traffic offenses such as speeding, driving under the influence and reckless driving just to name a few.
Heard County is divided into different zone areas for patrol. Deputies rotate in and out of zone areas to keep themselve familiar with these areas. Deputies from the Patrol Division provide residential checks for homeowners while they are out of town. All a resident has to do is contact the Sheriff's Office to provide information about their home, travel plans and when they will return. A deputy will then check on the resident at least once a day while the occupants are away.
Supervisor of Patrol Deputy is: Captain Jane Olinger captainolinger@heardcosheriff.com
